This stuff works great for me. It's light weight, so it doesn't look like I've got product in my hair. In fact, my hubby can still run his fingers through my curls and waves and not get sticky or stuck. I DO think a little goes a long way. If I put too much in, my hair gets sticky and stiff. I just work a gumball sized portion into my hair quickly after a shower with my fingers and let my mop air dry. No frizzies, nicely defined soft curls. Love it! I even use it dry in a pinch, though I do like their smoothing fluid better for that. My only gripe is that it's really expensive. I know it's all natural (whatever that really means) ingredients and that it was never tested on animals-- so I don't mind supporting Aveda because of that. But come on-- does it really have to be THAT... I use about a quarter-size amount and rub my hands together, then run the cream through my hair upside down. I pat the hair to make little ringlets (still upside down), then wrap the whole thing in a towel for about 5 minutes to set the curl. Again with my hair upside down I spray on some Fructis curling gel, pat a few times agan and voila. My hair air dries into gorgeous springy curls with no maintenance or styling tools.
