The Aveeno unscented Daily Moisturizing Lotion with Colloidal Oatmeal is what my dermatologist recommended to assuage my itching dry winter skin that was tormenting my sleep. But this knock-off has the same ingredients and is less pricey. Here we have an offer for two smaller bottles of the stuff with a shipping fee. Still, it seems worth that. Or you can go to a well-known merchandiser whose name starts with W and buy this since they usually have it on the shelf. I find it works very well: relieves dry skin without making its owner feel as though they ran through a sticky jungle. (I mean it doesn't seem to leave a residue.) (Health and Beauty) I have always had eczema and terribly itchy skin in the winter, from the day we turn the heat on. I would wake up in the middle of the night scratching my legs til I was bleeding! My daughter has the same problem. For 10 years now, I find this oil to be the only reliable solution to our problem. I tried medicated lotions, soaps, creams, soaks, etc, but nothing worked. With this, I only have to apply a little oil after I turn the shower off, towel dry, and itchy skin is gone. The only issue is that the local supermarkets and drugstores only carry it sporadically and each year it's the same anxiety: will the stores replenish their stock? Thankfully I can find it online! I have given it to friends and family members to try, and all have adopted this as their primary solution to dry itchy skin. It does not feel greasy, doesn't smell, and it easier and quicker to apply over the whole body than cream. (Health and Beauty) When I poured this out of the bottle in my hand in the shower I noticed a mild scent but I can't tell you what the scent it. Once out of the shower (and after patting my body down with a towel, NOT rubbing it down) I notice very little scent when I raise my forearm to my nose. My skin feels soft, not greasy the way it can be after using body lotion. I might be able to skip the heavy body lotions this winter if I use this each time I shower. Time will tell. DO be careful with this - have a mat on the bathtub or shower basin so you don't slip. It's not extremely greasy, but it is oily. Those with excema know how annoying and painful that can be. Aveeno was originally created to target excema so I imagine that's why it's so great at reducing the effects. All four females LOVE IT! It is great on even the most sensitive skin among us. It is gentle but leaves us feeling clean and our skin is so soft. I wouldn't even want to try anything else. As far as the scent, well, there really isn't a scent in this product. The other varieties from Aveeno (with fragrance) I have not liked. So I use this one and then after I shower I use Bath and Body Works Cucumber Melon lotion for a nice light scent on the skin. I really don't think you can find anything better, whether you have sensitive skin or not.
