Yes, you will need to put some effort in spreading it evenly across your face/skin, because if you don't, there will be scattered white marks on your face. But once it's done, you'll be okay. I never got sunburned while using this product, and although I can't promise you that the sunblock protected my skin well, I do feel like it did.The drawback with using this item is that the expiration date printed on the bottle is indeed the day you need to THROW IT OUT! The last Aveeno sunblock bottle I had was set to expire March 2012, and what I wish I had realized earlier was that it meant that by March 1, 2012, it was no good anymore.
