I first used a sample of this cleanser from my dermatologist's office. After using it, I was hooked. My skin tone had been blotchy with uneven skin tone. My skin improved to the point I was willing to go out in public without foundation although still wear foundation for everything other than everyday running around. And it doesn't dry out my dry skin. I ordered 3 bottles elsewhere, could have saved money by purchasing it here. BTW, within the last week, have had 2 people remark that my skin looks like a baby's. Pretty good for an aging baby boomer.

This does not seem like face soap to me. For starters, it is iridescent in appearance. It also has a very noticeable fragrance - one that I would expect more from a body wash instead of a face wash. And it doesn't lather - I need two full pumps to rub over my face because it won't lather. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to Clinique and didn't find it here.

I have been using this product for a month now. I don't see any difference in my skin tone. The product has a very pleasant scent.

This is the second season I've used this conditioner to extend the duration of my color. I have medium brown hair and I like to go lighter in the spring/summer and darker in fall/winter. I have my hair professionally colored and then use Biolage shampoo. After shampooing, I mix the Aveda clove with Biolage conditioner and add a touch of Aveda madderroot conditioner and get the most beautiful and natural color! It easily adds 6 weeks to the duration of my color. It sounds like a lot of work, but really isn't. As a working mom of 3, I need to be able to get from shower to minivan in as little as 30 minutes some days!

One caution: it can stain shower and/or hands so watch out if you splash. Comes out with Comet or other similar bathroom cleaners and simple soap for skin.

I am SO impressed with this product! I have naturally dark dirty blonde hair but have been bleaching my hair for the past decade. After my hair started becoming brittle and completely unmanagable (and after getting sick of the bleach blonde look) I decided to go brunette. 2 months ago I went to the salon and went from bleach blonde to chocolate brown. My stylist used a demi-permenant glaze (only supposed to last 16-20 shampoos) and warned me since it was my first time having my hair dyed a darker shade and especially because my hair is so poreous, I would most likely have to have my hair dyed again in around 3 weeks. She recommended buying the Aveda Clove conditioner to help prolong my color. I was skeptical because $18 is a bit steep compared to what I usually spend on hair products, but I trust my stylist and took her suggestion and I am SO glad I did! 2 months later my hair is STILL a rich chocolate brown! I have red hair, and this makes my hair a nice shade of darker auburn. Be careful to rinse off the walls and floor of the shower, because this stuff can stain. Also, be sure to comb it all the way through your hair while it's soaking in. I usually put it in before using my body wash, because then you're able to wash the color off your hands. I think it has just enough conditioning properties, but it works wonders if you mix a little bit of your regular conditioner in with it when applying. Warning: Don't use on blond hair, when I had highlights, it made the blond look like a dingy brown-grayish color.

My daughter has been suffering from eczema since she was a baby. She is seven years old now. She used to get allergies from milk,egg & tree nuts and dust. Now she has recovered from all these except tree nuts. Her skin was extremely dry and regularly gets rashes on neck, knees, elbows and some times on face and scratches her skin a lot.

Since she was a baby we have tried with so many moisturizing creams and lotions as per the suggestions from her pediatricians, dermatologists & Allergy specialists. We have also tried various prescription based cartizones. So far, we have tried Cetaphil (cream and lotion), Eucerine (cream and lotion), CeraVe(cream) and Vanicream moisturizing creams. None these creams helped her to improve her symptoms or dryness of the skin.

Every winter my hands begin the process of drying out to suddenly ending up in cracked knuckles, split cuticles, painful splits on tips of my fingers at the very tip of the nail groove, and splitting of the skin directly under the nail itself.

I work a lot with wood (cutting, sanding, and filling), dirt (gardening etc), and many other DIY activities that all seem to contribute to this drying effect even more. Furthermore, I must wash my hands at least 20 times in a single day.

Hand lotions have always been a major inconvenience for me. Putting lotion on during the day means having to deal with slippery hands, shiny keyboards, and the application of putting the lotion on all of the time (and going through it really fast).

We have found this lotion to be the best ,longest lasting moisturizer that we have used. no per-fumy smells either. This is a large bottle size.
