It is difficult to say for sure one way or another. The ingredient label on this lotion says that it contains dimethicone. It has a warning label on it that says after 7 days of use, discontinue use and see your doctor, if condition worsens or goes away and comes back. What does that mean?

I looked up dimethicone online. I saw that it causes skin irritation and possibly cancer, depending on the source used. Either way it is something that I do not wish to use on my skin. I do not know which is right, so I am going to avoid use of this all together.

I bought this product as a daily facial moisturizer, however from day one the pump never worked. There are two small pin holes on the bottom of the tube that leak product onto my makeup table when it sits upright and when I shook it, to get the product to come out of the pump the bottom exploded and all of it came out on my carpet. Ahhhhh! Why can Aveeno not make a functional package for this? I emailed the company and they said compensation for the loss was in the mail, so at least they are on top of that!

I've spent years looking for the perfect facial sunblock and this is it! I apply it immediately out of the shower in the morning, finish drying off and then apply my foundation on top followed by the rest of my makeup. My face is not shiny, greasy nor flaky using this product and I haven't broken out at all (been using for about 1 month now).
Great purchase - in fact, I've just ordered 2 more!

This is my daily sunblock. It is non-greasy and glides on the face easily. A tube lasts a long time because one don't have to slather on a thick layer of it. Aveeno now has a 100+ SPF for face too, so I am going to try that one after this tube is done. I am not sure about the SPF reliability/protectivity ratings of this product. Consumers reports might have a better review on this one. Overall it is a nice product. Does not cause any clogged pores or pimples.

I've used both this sunblock and the Neutrogena sunblock, and I would say that Neutrogena's product is slightly better. But Aveeno still gets the job done, and I wouldn't mind buying it again. Yes, you will need to put some effort in spreading it evenly across your face/skin, because if you don't, there will be scattered white marks on your face. But once it's done, you'll be okay. I never got sunburned while using this product, and although I can't promise you that the sunblock protected my skin well, I do feel like it did.

The drawback with using this item is that the expiration date printed on the bottle is indeed the day you need to THROW IT OUT! The last Aveeno sunblock bottle I had was set to expire March 2012, and what I wish I had realized earlier was that it meant that by March 1, 2012, it was no good anymore. I tried to use it a couple times into March 2012, thinking it's still good until the end of the month, but it made my skin rough, and eventually my skin... Read more
