The water gets silky and milky and almost feels "lighter." I soak for at least 20 minutes, and I completely buy the claim that the oatmeal cleans your skin without soap.My skin does feel softer and substantially less irritated after and aveeno bath. I've used it for rashes and chafings ... or whenenever I just want a good soak. This would be great for chicken pox etc. as well Be warned ... this product leaves a serious ring of what looks like sand/dirt in the tub after you're done. You will need to wash the tub out after it drains. We stopped using soap when my son was a few months old and switched to only oatmeal powder in the bath, and it helps ALOT. We never skip this.
